I'm thinking...

that it's a bit of a ditsy dozey day
as I seem to be doing everything
upside down and inside out!

I wrote a post, added some photos,
pressed something on the laptop and low and behold
the whole thing disappeared before my eyes,
so here we go again.....

Well it has  been a good week here in my little corner of Ireland
although the weather has been atrocious,
rain, rain and more rain,
I can't wear sandals as my feet are almost webbed
and I am thinking of getting my husband to build us an arc!!

I spent a lot of quiet time here this week.

Do you remember I posted about my two boys doing exams
well the eldest one (Christopher on the left)
got the results of his finals yesterday and the good news is that he passed everything so
 happy days!

Now he just has to find a job
so I am back to spending more time on my knees in this wonderful church!

On the one day that the sun did shine
I went for a long walk,
the lake and the gardens look lovely at this time of year
although the ducks must be in hiding!

I met this little cutie who looks so happy basking  in the sunshine

and finally

I did a basket making class using willow
and  it turns out that
I am a complete and utter disaster
involving anything crafty
everyone else brought home wonderful creations
(see pic below)
I left mine behind because it looked like nothing on earth!
When God was giving out the gift of creativity he must have missed me!!

so...
how was the weather in your part of the world this week
and how was your week?
Wishing you all a healthy happy week full of sunshine and smiles

Congratulations for Christopher! Great news and good luck! My weekend is full with events: beauticia visit tomorrow, as well as a birthday party and on Sunday we are off for an exhobition! Will enjoy every second, I need the rest. As for you I wish you rainless days and many many smiles!

Hi Fiona. What a lovely post, and isn't that post just so beautiful?! Many congratulations to your son, and I do hope that he will get to find a job that he will enjoy doing. It's so hard for them these days, isn't it?! Like you, we've had rain, rain, and yet more rain (and more forecast to come). I so wish the sunshine would come back very soon. I'm so glad you got to take that walk on one of the good days. Love the little foal and the lake. I'm afraid that I'm exactly like you with the crafty things. I start off with good intentions, but I'm just hopeless. LOL! Have a lovely weekend my friend x

We have been sweating the whole week but a lot of thunder and lightning due to the heath. I would also spend my time in the church on my knees having such successful boys, you are a lucky mum and surely the best one for your children. Forget the creativity, you have other skills. Have a blessed weekend, maybe the sun will come out, even on your green island. Hugs.

Fiona, that church is beautiful. And that colt is so cute. We have been getting a lot of hot weather with no rain in Michigan here in the U.S.

Congratulations for Christopher - Well done! Well as for me the weather has been very wet - and it feels weird having to wear warmer clothes in June. the wind is just a nightmare here in Dublin this evening. But at least we had one day of nice weather this week which is great. That church is so beautiful. Have a lovely Weekend!
Hugs,
Eva

Many congratulations to Christopher. I'm sure the boys are relaxing this weekend. It is a very stressful time on parents too.

Well done to your son - it's always a relief to get the results in. We are still waiting for Emma's - not due until August.
The weather here is just as bad as yours I'm afraid. Its kind of hard to believe it is summer isn't it?
I love the reflections you got in that water - lovely picture - and as for that wee pony, so cute.
I can imagine the basket making class not being easy - perhaps you just need a bit of practice.
Have a great weekend. :)

Still chuckling here about your rollercoaster week! Love the bravado as you face the many challenges! Great news about your sun and beautiful outdoor reflections!

Thanks for taking us on your walk - the scenery is beautiful.... and what about that gorgeous colt! Sounds like your prayers were answered. Ireland is a beautiful place and it would be an absolute blessing to return there one day (I visited and did some casual work there during the early 1970's). Thanks for sharing.

I didn't know horses laid down unless they were ill - I hope that little fella is all right. But you have some beautiful pictures there! And I linked up with your green theme - my favorite color!

Congratulations on Christopher's success on the final exams. I know what mothers can do is praying in terms job finding. How was the younger one? Did he win the jinx? Your creativity is at least better than mine seeing from the result. The horse basking in the sun is so charming! Have happy days ahead no matter how the weather is, Fiona.

Hi there, thanks for visiting my blog, so glad you found me as I shall follow back. Mother Nature has certainly been dishing out some strange weather around the globe, your comment about needing to build an ark made me smile!

Hi Fiona. Have you ever heard the song that says, "I believe for every drop of rain that falls a flower grows?" I think of that verse in the song when I'm stuck inside because of rain, then I'm happy to look for flowers! Your pictures are gorgeous! I love the colt resting in the grass. I don't think God passed you up when giving out creativity...your pictures are always wonderful and creative, along with your posts. I hope you get some sunshine soon so you can go out and look for flowers:)
Blessings,
Charlotte

I've just realized that I should have said, isn't that CHURCH beautiful - not 'post'. Doh! I blame the medication. Hee Hee! It's pouring with rain outside again at the moment, so I think we'll all be sharing that Ark at this rate!!!

Well done, good job, all the best . . . for your son. You made me giggle at the creativity. Yours might not be in willow design and instead it is in photography . . . Love the baby colt . . .

I always love seeing Raindrops and Daises pop up on my screen. I will be wishing you less in the raindrops and more in the daisy, very, very soon!

Congratulations to your son! Great job! I hope you will get more of those sunny days, as it makes a big difference. Our midsummer weekend was quite warm and very sunny, everyone was smiling and even a stranger wished me "happy midsummer" on my walk (we are known as shy people, us Finns, and talking to strangers is a little weird here...)

As I've been outside a lot I have completely forgotten about the Green-post! Perhaps I can link to it later on when I have found a perfect green spot for a photo..?

Have a wonderful Sunday!

That disappearing act happened to my blogs a few minutes ago. Scared the wits out of me. Could access no part of them, including all my blog buddies. They wanted my phone number. I gave it to them. then they texted information to put my blogs back on line??? is that crazy or what. Congrats to your son. Love the sweet pony and beautiful scenery. Temps here going up to 98 on Thursday. We need your rain desperately. Send some our way, so you can be done with it. take care.

Congratulations to your son. Hopefully he finds a job soon. The weather here is just as bad as in Ireland lately. Today was dry but it is still windy and cold. We were so lucky to get on the cruise and have warmth and sun in the mediterranian.
Have a nice week.

Hi dear Fiona,
thanks for the visit and sweet comments!!

Well, I must say..I don't want as much rain as you have had but a wee bit wouldn't hurt. It was 100 degrees here today and is supposed to break records this week end by reaching 107!!!!!!!...so send some cooling rain over the pond please!!

Have a happy weekend!
