Hi Fiona. You really can get such amazing photos on Pinterest, can't you? Lovely photos there to remind us what Autumn is all about. It's certainly very autumnal over here at the moment. I can't believe there are only 98 sleeps until Christmas. Eeeek!

Hi Fiona,
Snap! I have an autumn post planned for next week - great minds think alike! Lovely post. I've managed to resist Pinterest so far.

Are you well? I was a bit worried as you don't seem to have been online much lately.

Take care,
Eileen

I also love autumn! Candles are present already in my living room, I started knitting again ... Love the colours as well!

I love the autumn, the chilly crisp mornings, the changing colours - all great stuff. I've put on a big pot of soup today. You can't beat a big bowl of soup.

visiting for first time, saw your comment on Sandie's (Chatty Crone) journal, so thought I would check your journal out. Very nice blog you have; enjoyed reading some of your past entries; neat about your son and his accomplishments in English and language! I am not sure I ever read the Merchant of Venice myself.

Enjoyed all your autumn pictures and words describing it. Not sure I'm ready for Christmas or the reminder of how many sleeps until then, this year has flown by too fast :)

may you have an enjoyable day!

My mother would love you! She's all decorated already for autumn. I'm still waiting for the sun to go back to the beach!

I was enjoying your post until you mentioned Christmas ..... I refuse to utter that word until at least the end of November!! I need to buy new 'bad weather' boots - I'm not a great shopper for shoes/boots, so I will probably buy the first pair that fit!!

Hi Fiona, I love fall and the falls colors. I have been doing some fall decorating and hope to do a post on it this week. I'm loving it but can't believe it's only 98 sleeps until Christmas. I'm not ready for that because that means several months of cold and snow.
Thanks for the nice comment on my blog. Have a great week.

Love your photos and comments. But 98 sleeps til Christmas, where did the summer go. I really love Christmas but sometimes it is hard to Love The Customers (I have spent 5 years - 11 total - at Wal-Mart) and I know "The customer is always right - even when they are wrong."

MAKE IT A GREAT WEEK, LOVE TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Fiona, I'm also glad it's coming, and I've been making soup, too.
I have a short wave radio, and used to listen to the BBC (when they used to broadcast to North America!) - anyway, that's where I learned what gales you folks sometimes get in the UK in the fall! I remember one bad year when Margaret Thatcher was PM, I think. So, I hope you avoid too much of that this time! :)

I too am looking forward to all the special things about autumn. It is a beautiful time of year. It is hot still where I live but the nights are getting that crisp coolness to them. I can't wait to take my grandchildren to the same pumpkin patch I took my boys every year while they were young. It is a wonderful season!

I'm so glad to have met you, Fiona! Your blog is so cozy and sweet, and it is nice to have a friend on this side of the big pond! :)

Those boots... oh my. I'm shopping for new brown boots, too. They're beautiful. All your pictures are!

We're drippy down here in Switzerland as well, right now. Here's a cup of hot almond cocoa to warm you up - wish you could stop by for some. xo

LOVE IT!!! Must go get myself a new pair of boots...

Laughed out loud at the Christmas line. I'm crafting for Christmas so I definitely felt the boot up my behind. Ta!

What a wonderful post! Both the gorgeous photographs and your lovely descriptions make it all sound so appealing! But of course right now we are on the verge of enjoying another spring, so I shall not wish for autumn just yet! Christmas comes faster and faster each year. You obviously embrace the festivities with relish! I can appreciate why as it must be so special in a cold wintry country. Here, it's just so jolly hot all I want to do is chill!

I love fall and your fall images are perfect...especially since I'm in Southern California where it does not look or feel a bit like fall.
