Joy Pockets

  ♥  ♥

I have had the most wonderful pocket of joy this week.

I was told by my son's teacher that he will be doing Higher Level English in his exams next year.

This may not mean much to many people but to us as a family it is just unbelieveable.

This fabulous 16 year old son of mine who couldn't speak 3 words until he was 9 years of age and who has worked and struggled so hard throughout his young life has achieved so much.

I have to buy a copy of The Merchant of Venice tomorrow as he  need it for Monday.

He may find it too difficult, time will tell
but today we are all dancing a very happy dance.

Hello Fiona:
You must be incredibly proud of your son, not only for his achievements but for his strength of spirit. He has obviously overcome enormous challenges with great resolve and that is such a valuable life skill. We wish him continued success and know that he will be fully supported by you. We are certain that this makes all the difference!!!

Glad to hear your good news! Well done to your boy x Thanks for visiting my blog too, I'm still super emotional about the whole school thing but little M really seemed to enjoy today at school, which is a huge relief!

That's so wonderful Fiona. It's so hard to see our children struggle but apparently the results and worth the struggle. You must be so proud of him. Best of luck to him.

Fiona, what a 'bucket of joy' nevermind a pocketful! Congratulations to your son, and also to you. I am sure you both have been through difficult times. It is an amazing achievement, you must be so proud. I did 'The Merchant of Venice' at school and I loved it. I was lucky enough to go and see the play in London and it really made it come alive for me. I hope you all did something nice to celebrate your victory? Thankyou for popping in and leaving lovely comments, love Linda x

I am so happy for you and share in your excitement. I remember that feeling that enters a mother's inner being when her child does outstanding performance. I applaud your son for his diligent success and good luck with Silas.
