Smiling today because...

the sun was shining
and I was busy in the garden and have planted over 200  bulbs for Spring
They have been in the cupboard for a few weeks now and I thought  I had better get them into the ground or they would still be sitting there this time next year!
Let's hope they work their magic
♥

I have just lit the candle holder that Mum
gave myself and Mike for our
25th wedding anniversary earlier this year
and as always it looks lovely and gives me that
nice happy warm feeling.
bought a bunch of flowers in lovely Autumn shades
 they were cheap as chips
but look really pretty in the kitchen.

I picked the last of my tomatoes,
they are so tasty and SWEET.
Yum

But, the men in this house are not smiling
because Ireland are out of the Rugby World Cup
after being beaten by Wales.
But as always the better team won.

Wishing you all a relaxing, peaceful and happy
  weekend.

Lucky you having a nice day, we had our nice day yesterday. I'm sure your bulbs will be lovely come the Spring. I've got some to plant as well, hope I've not left it to late.
Oh dear, out of the Rugby World Cup that's not good.

Nothing like homegrown tomatoes, they are always so delicious! You were very adventurous to plant all those bulbs, but you will indeed see the fruit of your labor come spring and it will be beautiful indeed! I liked that candle holder; very nice!!

That was quite an ambitious task you took on. Planting 200 bulbs. WOW. When spring comes you will be rewarded for your efforts. Your 25th wedding anniversary candle holder is beautiful. It's wonderful that it brings you such comfort. Fresh flowers and tomatoes from the garden bring joy to an ordinary day. Ireland always has next year to win the World Cup. Take care.

Had to come back and comment on your comment (does that sound right - it did in my head, not so much when I typed it).
I didn't realise that is what blathered meant to you -oooops the thought of being piddly eyed drunk at 10.30am - doesn't really bear thinking about does it? Anyway it made me giggle thanks for that!!!

Your candle holder is gorgeous. I'd probably want to have a candle burning in it every day. It's so nice to have a lot of spring flowers to look forward to...well worth the effort of planting all the bulbs.

Ale się napracowałaś. Tyle cebule wsadzić. Mnie w sobotę z ogródka przegonił deszcz, a mam tyle jeszcze do zrobienia. Śliczne zdjęcie i z przyjemnością popatrzyłam na świecę paląca się w świeczniku. Pozdrawiam

Hello,
I visited your blog today - I saw you on 'Town and Prairie.' Your blog is so sweet and charming, and I loved the Fall flowers. They are so bright and remind me of Fall - my favorite season. As I was scrolling down, I noticed the pink roses....beautiful. Me and my daughters started a new blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would really enjoy coming back to visit with you and seeing all your wonderful ideas. Your name reminds me of my favorite blog that I used to visit every day, 'Daisy Cottage.' Your blog is so cheerful, and I am leaving here today with a smile. Hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

The flowers are so lovely. I love flowers and wish that I could grow some but this thumb here is not the much sought after 'green thumb'. So I buy flowers instead from the market. Always brings to life my tiny living room with its gorgeous presence. :-)

You have a lovely blog.
Blessings to you and your family.
