Around my home this week

On Sunday -
we had sunshine and blue skies
 H*E*A*V*E*N

however, since then we have had lots and lots of rain!

but....
these lovely lilies bought for me by my lovely son cheered me up

the weather wasn't good so I
chopped up lots of veg to add to my stewing beef to make a warm comforting Irish Stew

I love hydrangeas drying in the kitchen

delicious lemon curd and fruit preserves

wet, wet, wet but very pretty geraniums
and finally
I am just wondering
why does no one eat the strawberry sweets
they are always the last ones left in the tin!!!

I hope that you are all having a lovely week and that the sun is shining on you all

Let's see - I love lemon curd, beautiful flowers, and stew with veggies. And I leave the strawberry ones too - if it is not chocolate - I don't need it. lol

Lovely of your son to buy you flowers! Your stew will be tasty and perfect for your weather, I am sure. May the sun shine upon you soon!

The strawberry candies would be the first to go in my house. LOVE them. I have never had lemon curd, though. Your hydrangeas are pretty. And the stew sounds good. I wouldn't mind a little rain, like you got. But forecasters here say it's going SNOW tommorrow. Not ready for it. Take care.

Hi Fiona, You get rain and we get wind. We haven't had rain for a couple of months or more. Probably won't get any now as it will be snow.
With the cold winds blowing like we are having a big pot of Irish stew would be wonderful. I may have to make some.
Hopefully the sun will shine on you tomorrow.

Fiona we have had some blue skys but plenty of rain here as well. Love the little walk around your home. I think I would love to come and sit awhile and chat and have a bowl of your stew with you. I love comfort food.

Such beautiful blue sky! It is snowing here so I chopped veggies for stew too. I love lemon curd, and at our house it is always the watermelon candies that no one will eat. What a lovely bunch of photos you shared. Hope you have a beautiful day!

We only have lily plants in white at Easter here in the states. Your photos are lovely.
We just finished a big pot of stew, nothing warms the house like some home cooking! Have a great weekend! Penny

Hi Fiona, send the strawberry chocs round here, my hubby and daughter seem to like them, give me caramels anyday!Mmm Irish stew, lemon curd, chocs, it's all too comforting! Thanks for your tip on the Hydrangea drying, I have done that with roses quite successfully but not tried Hydrangea. There is a wonderful bush in our street of gorgeous deep pink Hydrangea, I'm dying to knock on the door and ask if I can have some, but I haven't got the bottle. I know though, that any day now they will turn to mush, as you say! I hope all is well with you, have a happy week, love Linda x
