my dearest children...

why do you remember to feed the two dogs but never the cat......

the basket of wet laundry that is sitting in the kitchen can be brought out to the clothes line by one of you, it doesn't have to be me, the clothes won't mind who hangs them out
and they won't mind who takes them back in again either!!

~~~~
do you really need to use so many towels when you have a shower
and why after your showers do I find all of these wet towels lying on the bedroom floor or worse again thrown onto your bed......
~~~
why does no one ever answer the house phone when it rings......

~~~
Why do you say that there is no food in the house, when the fridge and cupboards are full of it and the only thing in short supply are biscuits and other goodies because you have eaten them all!
~~~

I love the three of you very much but sometimes I just have to shake my head in dispair, just as well I can laugh about it!!

This list could go on and on but I better stop now as I am wondering if it is just my family that are like this!!!!

Hi Fiona! Thanks for the lovely comments this morning:) All exhausted today! I am laughing reading this, as I can relate to every word you wrote! 3 towels each go to our shower and I am the only one who answers the phone or opens the front door!! Have a lovely afternoon:)

Fiona, you're not alone! I get frustrated and even feel unappreciated at times. Sometimes I just feel like a maid servant here in my house. Ha!
Your kitty is very pretty!

Kotek jest śliczny i da sobie radę. W pozostałych sprawach już taka nasza rola, chociaż nogą czasami trzeba tupnąć. Pozdrawiam

Sounds normal to me! My Mum used to say 'I'm not buying chocolate biscuits, because you just eat them' ......

My children are grown now, but it was always like what you described at my house! From what I've heard from other women, I'd say yours is a pretty normal family life. For some reason, they think it is Mom's job to do all these chores. Not fair, is it? We do these thing for them, but we don't have to always like it! :D
Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. You have a very nice blog here.

I think this sounds pretty normal . . . My children are grown and have families of their own and my daughter phoned this morning with a similar lament.

I must say . . . soon your children will be out and about and you may be wishing for more wet towels, loud noises and chore givers who are forgetful!

I enjoyed some smiles reading your post . . .

I can say my house was like that too when my son lived at home. This was a great post! Made me chuckle.

Oh, Fiona, I have 4 daughters, all grown now, who did the same thing. I think all kids are pretty much the same. We love them anyway.
Your post made me smile remembering. :0)

Didn't you know, towels multiply when there are young people in the house. Savor the moments. LOVED this post. Take care.

No, it's definitely NOT just your household that has these quirks :) I love that you wrote about this so humorously and every words you spoke is just so jolly true! Now, leave the link to your blog so they all get to read it :)

Hi Fiona,
That sounds so familiar! Pretty normal, some they grow out of and some they carry on doing for years!
All the best,
