ooh I want to come to your house!! It looks so cosy, the only thing missing from our lovely little cottage is a fireplace..boo, I really wish we had one! enjoy your evening x
I am receiving all the pics and they are pretty and tell your story. Happy Saturday to you! Yes, I love the smell of Christmas, fire light, candlelight, fresh flowers, chocolate and above all a husband to share it with!
Oh Fiona, chocolate, flowers, candlelight, smell of Christmas, fireplace, and a husband to share it with, that is heaven. I'm sure you had a wonderful evening. Barb
What a wonderfully warmm and cosy scene you had so lovingly prepared to welcome your hubby home. It looked perfect! I, too, adore the softness of glowing candles. I really need to light ours more often!
Everything looks so cozy by the fire. Your chocolate reindeer sound yummy. I LOVE candles but can't use them very often because of my husband's COPD. But I've found if I use a candle warmer the fragrance permeates throughout the house and doesn't bother him as much as a lit one does.
Hi Fiona, you've created a lovely welcoming and warming atmosphere. I love candles but we don't light them any more as they seem to adversely affect Ced's breathing and cause him discomfort.
I miss our fire from when we use to live south, yours looks so inviting and I could enjoy a little drop of that red with those yummy chocolate a special place you have here my friend, hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow.
Wow that's some fire, and I'm very big on fireplaces myself. Those chocolates wouldn't last too long around me though! Richard from the Amish community of Lebanon,Pa
Hi Fiona. I just love those last two photos. Your room looks so warm and cosy! We also have log fires in our home, and I just love the smell. Yes, I have always liked candles around the house, especially the Christmassy smelling ones that are available at the moment. Hope your weekend is going well.
I love candles - especially scented ones! Lovely photos of the fire - our woodburning stove is keeping us cosy, as we enjoy a glass of wine before dinner!
Lovely things to enjoy and appreciate. I'll take a warm, crackling fire and of course "chocolate" anytime. Sounds like your Holiday Season is off to a good start. Mickie :)
Dear Fiona, I absolutely LOVE candlelight. While I am writing you this comment there are 9 candles flickering in our home an that is just half of the number I could light. I have candles all year round. The only time I do not like candles is at Easter. Egg candles are a horror for me... Btw I would love to bite into these reindeers I know they are yummy... Enjoy 2nd Advent !
Dearest Fiona, What a lovely and beautiful post♡♡♡ My humble Japanese house doesn't look good with candles, but I LOVE them. Hope your husband was able to relax with them when he came home♬♬♬ Blessing to you, xoxo Orchid*
Hello, Fiona Your home looks very inviting. It must have been so nice for your husband to return home. I'm off to get a tree tomorrow. As for candles, I like the soft glow of them. -Karen
This is a fabulous post, Fiona! I love candles and burn about 6 or 7 every night. My husband loves to come home to a cozy home, as well... I'm so lucky to have a husband who appreciates that. Thank you for this little peep into your world. It warmed my heart.
Hi Fiona, You dropped by some time ago, and I only just discovered your comment. I thought I'd visit you too. (You commented on my post 'Do French women get fat?")
As I was looking at your photos...I realized that you must not be from America. Your home looks so warm and inviting..but it looks 'different'. I can't say just how...but it's not full of stuff from stores like ours.
I LOVE it! I looked at several of your other posts and was entranced. I was captivated by the outdoor photos of buildings with thatched roofs..I don't know what you call it. Thanks so much for sharing.
I decided to follow you as reading your posts is like getting to visit another country..without flying.
Thanks again for dropping by this summer.
