At home today.....

{in the hall}

This pottery was in different parts of the house so I decided to put some of it together and display it properly.

This is my favourite
traditional Irish pottery
and is made by
 Stephen Pearce from Cork.

♥  his work, so earthy, solid and timeless.

{in the kitchen}

lots of flowering scented hyacinths

{in the garden}

My nosey neighbours are staring at me
as I hang clothes onto the washing line!

Mr. Donkey's winter coat!

bored now, they are off!!!

Happy Friday

That pottery is gorgeous....love the color, the surprise pop of the simple white design. As for the hyacinths, if you could just get the blog post to have the scent of them as well, it would be perfect! So instead I'll look at the lovely photo and pretend...

I LOVE IT, just LOVE it. The pottery is elegant. The earthy color, the brillant white design. My great grandmother was born and raised in County Cork. Yet in all my years, I have NEVER seen TRADITIONAL IRISH POTTERY such as this. Probably because her father left everything of value behind, when they came to America. Thank you for sharing yours with all of us. It's really lovely. The scent of hyacinths fills my home too. They are a favorite of mine, for sure. Your NOSY neighbors are kind of cute. GREAT photos. take care.

I absolutely love the pottery. I can't believe you get to look at donkeys (and horses)--they are so cute--especially the one in his coat. Now you've got me needing some hyacinths...

Such a lovely view! I'd take donkeys any day over some of the things I have to look at, that's for sure. Hence, my "I hate you" rose-of-sharon shrub covered fence blocking the view into my neighbor's yard. Once they start trouble, you would rather just not see them at all. Flowers are so much prettier anyway. andrea@townandprairie

Aw Fiona, I love donkeys, and you have them living next door, or are they yours!! Your display looks lovely, it's always better to maximise the impact by having them all together, I think. I am more of a china rather than pottery girl though. Lots of love, Linda x
