It's Monday....

Hello!
How are you
 and how was your weekend?

I had a very quiet one,
I pottered about in the garden

and lazed around with my nose in my Kindle.

I got this book Yellow Crocus free from Amazon
and it was a good read.
Have you read it yet?

I would certainly recommend it
the only thing is, that if you are like me
and get stuck in a book
and can't get out of it
there won't be much else done!

Brought some roses in from the garden
as the were being windswept!
Don't they look pretty ?

and I am really excited this morning because my phone packed in
(well I'm not happy about that)
but...
I have ordered myself an iphone
(my last phone was from the dinosaur age)
and should have it tomorrow.

I can't wait to try it out
will probably make a mess of setting it up
and lose all my contact numbers
and so will be looking for plenty of help from my 2 boys!
hey ho, that should keep them happy
(I don't think) !!!

I have booked these scruffy fellas
in for a grooming session (very badly needed)
so hopefully they will look a bit more presentable and a lot less smelly afterwards!

The downside of reading my lovely book is that not a lot else was done and so now
 I have to catch up
so should be busy dusting, hoovering,
polishing and ironing,
but sure I think I'll leave that until tomorrow as the sun is shining
& my new book is waiting for me on the patio!

so what was your weekend like?
tell me about your phone?
and most importantly
have a lovely happy day full of
 sunshine, smiles and lovely things

Lovely vibrant flowers in your garden! I love the cover of the book you're reading. I know all about losing myself in a good book and hardly being able to do anything else!! My, what a modern girl: a Kindle and soon an iPhone - let me know if it's easy to use! LOL! My daughter recommended I get an iPad and I finally did and do find it rather nifty and useful. I can use it on my balcony too which is nice.
Have fun, modern girl! Sandra

Pozdrawiam.
Yesterday I had to spend the afternoon in the garden, but a storm came and rain, and nothing came out of my plans. The rest of the day spent at the computer. I have the iphone is already four years, the same thing. I am very happy with him and the other I would not have changed. A beautiful bouquet. Yours.

Oh dear, I've tried four times to comment now! :-(

Gorgeous flowers, what a lovely garden you must have! thrilling to be getting an iPhone they're brilliant things! I had an old brick of a phone until my sis gave me her old iPhone which was great until I smashed the glass face >( it still works, but looks pretty crappy!

Have a happy week xx fingers crossed the pooter plays along this time....

This is a nice place to stop... and enjoy you garden. It looks like the dogs enjoyed so much, they must do a favorite activity...sleep. Enjoy the new phone. It can be fun to learn a new phone.

That first picture is beautiful and what I wish my garden looked like right now...

I too get lost in a book, I did manage to finish one yesterday in the midst of my busy day.

Almost afraid to start another!

You'll love your phone. i put off getting a smart phone and that was just stupid! Now you'll have to instagram so we can see pictures of the garden and dogs instantly.

Hi Fiona!
Your flowers are so beautiful!
You're right about good books (and movies/TV shows may I add); they're so addictive!
Yay on the iphone!
Your dogs look very cute!

Enjoy the new week! ;)

We spent our weekend in the garden also, trying to recover some of our vegies from a horrible storm that blew in and destroyed some things! I love a good book also! And once I start reading and get into it, I have a hard time putting it down also! Your flowers are really pretty. Hope you're having a good day!

What bright beautiful reds! Your garden seems to be at its peak; here in the Northeastern US it has been so hot that everything is fading early. Oh well, thankfully the world goes round.

LOVE the lucious flowers. So colorful. The dogs will enjoy getting pampered. I have a DROID GLOBAL2 phone. You'll love your new smartphone, I'm sure. Always looking for a good book. Will check the one you recomended out. ENJOY that sunshine. You waited a long time to see it. take care.

Sounds as though you had a lovely weekend:-) Mine was quiet but pleasant. As for phones, mine is ancient, bog standard and suits me just fine, though I do think my children's phones are very smart and do everything but the housework;-)

p.s: love your dogs:-)

My phone is so old, you do not want to know how old, but it works for me. Your roses are lovely. I like the ruffled look of the petals. I hope you enjoy the sun and your book and save the polishing for later.

Hi Fiona. I've got an Apple iPhone and I absolutely love it, BUT be warned, it took a little while for me to get used to the touch screen, and I wasn't all that happy first of all. I think most people think like that, especially if they come from an outmoded phone! After a few days, you will love it!! Your roses look very pretty I must say. So important to just leave the housework whilst the sun is shining. We haven't seen that much of it this year!

Beautiful flowers you have and I love your dogs. My weekend was shopping and watching the Olympics.

Hi!
I always get trapped in books. ALWAYS. What is this dusting and ironing you speak of? (Its been so long since I've done either!) I'm glad I'm not the only one with a smelly dog too. Flowers and books are such good summer staples that everything else just seems to sink slowly away....

Love your yellow flowers with your Crocosmia! Gorgeous, and your Roses, . . . oh my, are they beautiful.

Let me know how it goes with your new phone . . . I am ready for the change but a bit intimidated of the change . . .

Love your dogs . . . grooming day is a fun fragrance day!

Love the flowers from your garden, lovely and bright. Flowers always add a bit of cheer :)
That book looks interesting and it's free - what more could you ask for!!
Your two dogs are wonderful - and I'm sure they will be lovely when all spruced up :))
I hope you have fun with your new phone - my daughter has an iphone and loves it. I think it may be to technical for me to understand, but I would love one though.
Have a wonderful week and enjoy your new book. :)

Sounds like you did get a lot done. Reading a book, washing the dogs, making pictures, doing a blog post, ordering a phone sounds like a lot accomplished to me. I love my iPhone and I am sure you will too! Your flowers are so pretty. Roses are impressive.

Fiona! hi,

My granddaughters just had to wash their hands. They weren't very dirty at all. They got more dirty serving up the goodies than when they made them.

Yellow Crocus looks lovely! What is about? and ...do you have a Border Collie? My phone is a Droid and I love it... but, I dropped it and it made a black spot on the screen. I really should get a replacement. Just relax with your iphone. They are very 'user loving'. My son-in-law has one and he LOVELOVELOVES IT! don't drop it.

Sounds like you had a great weekend. I haven't read a book in ages. If I get into a book, I don't stop until I'm finished and then I don't get anything else done.

Your book waiting on the patio give me a chuckle...enjoy it. I already wrote, but the phone is my new response...the boys will totally learn it's operation, so fast. That's good to have some built in tech support.

What gorgeous colors!!! I just love having flowers around, makes everything that much better. :)
Funny that you asked about phones. I was just looking at phones online last night. I'm deciding between an iphone, HTC or Samsung. I don't like one that's too big and we only need a good camera and to visit my blog and a couple of places on the web. My son will probably have to help me out no matter which one I choose. :) Sometimes I feel we have too many choices. LOL
So glad you enjoyed your weekend. We took it easy as well. Our son has been visiting a friend and will be home tomorrow. I've missed him so much!!! Have a wonderful week! Hugs!
