The party was lovely,
the sun shone and the dress fit
so happy days!
The shoes looked good
but after about 15 minutes
didn't feel so great,
but I suffered on
as we women always do in the name of fashion (ouch ouch ouch!)
as we women always do in the name of fashion (ouch ouch ouch!)
The gardens, food, drink and entertainment were wonderful
and lovely memories were made.

and...
a little secret I have to share -
at the end of the day,
my tootsies were so tired
that I took the shoes off
Whew!!!
I'm wearing my flip flops since!!!

What a lovely place for a celebration; the walled garden is exquisite. Both you and your daughter looked beautiful, and isn't it nice to kick off the shoes and wiggle your toes in the grass!

Hi Fiona,
Lovely photos, and that dress is gorgeous :-)
I would never be able to walk in high heals, and I admire those that can.
Beautiful surroundings.
Enjoy your Tuesday!

Beautiful setting . . . lovely daughter . . . and Fiona, such a pretty gal. Love your dress and I am sure the "ouch shoes" we're perfect! What we won't do to make it happen for the day. What was the location for the celebration?

W pięknym miejscu była impreza. Córka i Ty wyglądałyście świetnie. "Klapki" z ostatniego zdjęcia są zdecydowanie najwygodniejsze. Pozdrawiam.
The event was a beautiful place. Daughter and you wyglądałyście great. "Flip" of the last pictures are definitely the most comfortable. Yours.

What a beautiful place for the party! Your daughter is lovely. Fun seeing you in the dress that almost didn't fit. I would have had the heels off and flip flops on in minutes. I can't wear heal anymore.

Hi Fiona. I'm so thrilled that you had a lovely dry day for the celebrations. What a wonderful setting, and it was so lovely to see you in the flesh as it were!! I adore your dress, absolutely beautiful. Talking about beautiful, what a pretty daughter you have. Gorgeous photos for us to look at. Love your new header by the way.
You look so beautiful! Love your dress. It look like it fit perfect! Your daughter is a beauty as well! The gardens were beautiful! Loved all the photos you shared. Hope you're having a nice day!
What a wonderful venue for your party. Your daughter and yourself look very lovely. New shoes are a real pain to wear for a night out aren't they? Hope you didn't get too many blisters.
Hi again Fiona, just thought I'd come over and say have a wonderful holiday - I hope you are going somewhere sunny with no rain!!!!
Definitely won't be here in Ayrshire - lot and lots of rain tomorrow yuk. Have a great time wherever you are going :))
You look fabulous! Love your dress...it looks great! I am with you on the flip flops. It was a beautiful setting for a party. I enjoyed all the photos. Very pretty daughter. Have a great week. B.
Wow! What a beautiful venue for a party! What was the party for? And you, Fiona, look lovely in that dress!! 2 of our daughters got married a few months ago, and by the time the receptions were about 1/2 over...off came my shoes!! My feet hurt so much from scurrying around and tending to last minute details, that I didn't even care any more!! LOL!
Your daughter amongst the lavender is certainly a beauty, too!
Thanks so much for sharing!!
Hugs,
Becky
That is a very large expansive gorgeous place. Take care of the tootsies.
Hello Fiona
Many thanks for your comments on my last two posts....off on holiday.....nice one....where to???
Your comment about not being creative and having an uncreative blog has been turning itself over in my mind and I'm afraid I can't agree with you on that one. I urge you to go back into your own blog with a critical eye and look at the photos you take and then tell me again you're not creative.....you have to have a creative eye to take many of the photos you display on your blog. Creativeness doesn't come about because you make things it comes about in many different forms and sometimes the way you arrange a room or take a photo or make a cake is a display of creativeness....so sorry and beg to differ can't see the uncreativeness you comment on!!!
As for crafts......do you not do any due to lack of knowledge or lack of inclination? if its due to lack of knowledge I've a Crochet for beginners e-book,some yarn and a big fat crochet hook waiting here for you that I will be delighted to send to you to get you started if you like. :-)
Take care now
Amanda xx
Wow, what a beautiful estate! It looks like you had a lovely time.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and your nice comment. You had asked about my followers button... I've chosen not to have one.
Have a beautiful rest of the week!

Hello Fiona, I had to laugh about your shoes as I've done the same when I was quite a bit younger and wearing ridiculous heels! Nice to see you and your daughter - it's always lovely to see the person we've been reading for a while. What's that song that goes: "In Dublin's fair city, where the maids are so pretty..."? I'm planning on going to lovely Ireland one day! You were in a beautiful setting and I just love walled gardens! Sandra
Nice photos, poetry, thoughts and darling daughter! I took my shoes off all night at my youngest daughters wedding....and I didn't care!! (hug)
Dearest Fiona,
What a wonderful place, it is almost looks like a palace♡♡♡
Yes, your gaughter is really beautiful!!! I hope she is OK now (sorry if it is not her).
Haha, you always a sense of humor, I have hallux valgus and sometimes it is hurt if I wear high heals long.
You look fabulous and happy for your wonderful time.
Love you always from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
I have what I think is the same dress, or a close copy. You look lovely in it. I would never have worn the heels. I gave given them up for flats years ago. Not worth the pain I would have.
This is such an beautiful setting for a party. I'm sure you had a wonderful time.
Lovely setting. I understand the shoe thing. I gave up heels awhile ago however sometimes you just have too. They only last minutes though! You look gorgeous, by the way!
What a beautiful party and you looked fabulous!
You looked positively ravishing. Barefoot and all. The dress is beautiful. Your daughter is lovely. And those centerpieces on the tables were to die for. Glad you had a wonderful time. Enjoyed seeing all the photos.
Fiona you are beautiful!
So nice to see you and I LOVE what you are wearing
Hope your feet are doing better now (I can't stand too long in heels myself)
xo
You look so lovely! And so does your daughter! I don't care for high heels anymore. I would definitely have flip flops in my purse. LOL These are such pretty pics! Nice place for a celebration. :)
