Out and about...

I have been having a lazy few days,
the weather has been dull and rainy
and all I wanted to do was snuggle up
in front of the fire with cups of tea
but
I did go out on a few walks
and here are a few photos from my week..
This is the road I live on,
just around the next bend is
Home Sweet Home
a lovely tree lined avenue...
some tiny falabellas, aren't they so cute?

The autumn colours are just wonderful
someone said it's because of all the rainfall we had during the year
so I'm guessing next year will be the same!

♥♥♥
Beauty and Fashion
comparing myself to a horse,,.
I passed this little guy one day and do you know what...
I think that his hair is in better condition than mine!!
and  seriously when I look at him I think I have more hairs on my chin than he does!
hmmm time to get the tweezers out!

I bought this navy poncho in Tesco for €18.50
it will be lovely and snuggly for the cold days ahead
looks great with denims and nice wearing it at home while lazing on the sofa!
They also have it in a camel colour
and I am very very tempted...

♥♥♥
 House and Home
This week I'm enjoying...
mugs of hot chocolate and marshmallows

I usually buy a bunch of flowers for the house when doing my grocery shopping
and while I normally choose lilies
these caught my eye, as they are so bright and colourful and would lift anyones mood!

and my new orchid plant Miyako named after a lovely blogging friend from Japan
I bought this beauty for €5 in B&Q
♥♥♥
Well at the moment my house is upside down and inside out
Mr. Raindrops decided to paint the lounge last Sunday
still talking about it on Monday
planning it all Tuesday
deciding what he needed to buy Wednesday
bought the paint Thursday,
 rested Friday
and low and behold the painting began on Saturday
He keeps telling me that these things cannot be rushed,
obviously not
it hasn't been painted in 6 years...

Is it all men or just mine?

{Green Day 20}
Well it's Friday and so it's Green Day

The usual rules apply...
Thank you to all who participate I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do

Essas imagens do Outono são lindas. Essa mistura de cores dá muito encanto a essa estação do ano.
Gostei do cabelo desse cavalo. Parece que ele foi ao salão de beleza. Risos
Um abraço e lindo final de semana!

Hello Fiona, What a beautiful place you live in, the autumnal colours are stunning. Love the little falabellas I could take one home with me and yes, I'm always up for some hot chocolate and marshmallows. Mmmm, I need to be careful here as George is going to decorate.....but my husband is the same as yours...decorating takes a lot of planning, thinking, organising, cups of tea, lots of sighs and then, if I am lucky it begins! Have a lovely weekend. Best Wishes Daphne

Hello Fiona, your Autumn colors are just beautiful. The Falabellas are so cute. They remind me of the miniature horses I see at a farm nearby. Just adorable. Your poncho is cute and I would love it with a pair a jeans. Wonderful post and photos! Wishing you a happy weekend!

Pozdrawiam.
Laughed to read about than your hair on the head and beard of their appearance at the pony. Rusty View Avenue is wonderful and I wish that soon it will not. Lovely bouquet in a vase and adorned definitely going to have painted your living room. Yours.

Such wonderful photos! Ponies are adorable, you should absolutely get that camel-colored poncho, and...it's not just men who tear the house apart & then linger over finishing! Good luck with that!

I don't worry too much about the painting around here -- I do it all myself (love to do it!) hee!!

As for the horse having more chin hairs than you -- I'm still laughing (just having spent 15 minutes taking care of my own!). Happy weekend!

LOVE the poncho too.
I'm linking a little green today from my backyard which you already visited earlier this week, but I wanted to join your party with all your lovely guests. I was running out the door to dinner with my husband and I thought, FIONA'S GREEN DAY!! ;) I'll be back later to visit and mingle.
Thanks for hosting, love.

Fiona, just wanted to say hello and to thank you for your visits. I'm sorry that you're in the gray just now. We have been for a week...suppose that that doesn't bode well for your coming week's weather update either.

What wonderful images you've shared...the mosaic is charming and I enjoyed seeing all the beautiful foliage still looking so fresh and fine. How pleasant it must be to live just down the road around the bend. Yay for a man who paints! My man does lots of things, but he says that I can paint. Boo. Hiss.

Hello Fiona!

Hello Fiona, it is so awfully posh where you live! I love your collage of images, and the little horses are adorable.
I think it's all men, or most at any rate. I am just glad that I can do my own decorating, otherwise I would be totally frustrated.

Thank you for your visit and lovely comments. Lois got far too many goodies, people on our street are very generous.
Much love to you, Linda x

Hello Fiona, it's wet, wet, wet, here too this morning. I love the dark pink hydrangea. A neighbour of mine has it and I always lust after it. Every year I walk past it and go, I'm going to ask if I could have some, but I don't, then the frost comes, as it did last week and they are now all brown and soggy, and I think, what a waste!

Thank you so much for your kind comments. Yes I was pleased with my butterflies. I love things made out of wire, I made a little miniature birdcage too, but now I need a little bird to go in it.
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead, with love Linda x

I am laughing so much at comparing yourself to the little pony and his hair issues. I can most definitely confirm that my husband is the same and even when he does start the job he always leaves midway to go to homebase because he is missing some tool or other.

Only six years?? We have lists going back twenty years and more of 'things to do' . . . the lists get longer and nothing gets done.
Lovely photos of your neck of the wood. As for the poncho in camel, if you haven't already, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on . . . ;-)
