Green Day 22 and a Giveaway....

I hope that your week is going well.
I know that I am really looking forward to the weekend
to relax, laze about, drink tea (and maybe a glass or 2 of red)
read magazines
and just enjoy a little "me" time,
in between all the housework that needs to be done of course!
A woman's work is never ever done....

********

I went for a walk on Wednesday and saw this lovely guy.
He got up quite close but I moved away quickly when the rest of his family arrived
squalking and squeeking and following me about!
I'm afraid of big birds and ducks and swans or in fact anything that has a beak and is bigger than a robin!
He did look nice though!

a quick reminder about the Giveway...
don't forget you have lots of time to enter and this little pretty will look great on your Christmas tree!
see HERE for details

and so for
{Green Day 22}
Well it's Friday and so it's Green Day

The usual rules apply...
Thank you to all who participate I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do

Hello Dearest Fiona,
OMG, your picture of swan almost made me in tears. My city has a big park with lake called "Tokiwa park". I used to love my parents took me there and enjoyed watching the swans. But they were all killed a couple of years ago due to the bird flue they got. They really are lovely as long as we can see in the lake, not being chased, aren't they? Haha, so sorry my nostalgic and unhappy comment. Happy to be able to link, though(*^_^*)

Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

Fiona,

A foto do pato é linda, mas ele não parece ser muito simpático.
Estava esperando ansiosa pelo dia do nosso Green Day. Senti muita falta de visitar os blogs do mosaico e ver lindas imagens pelo mundo.
Um lindo e abençoado final de semana. Abraços

Your weekend sounds exactly like my dream plan, in case my neck allows it!

Oh you are funny, Fiona! I had to laugh when you said you were scared of anything with a beak bigger than a robin! That said, I was chased by geese once, so I know the feeling!
Lovely swan shot. Have a great weekend!
It's misty here this morning, but I'm knitting fingerless gloves for the first time, so I'll be kept busy!

I am so envious of your weekend plans.... mine will be spent as usual, changing nappies, wiping faces, yelling at people to PICK tHings UP!!!., cleaning, cooking bla bla bla.... I dream of the days when I had NOTHING to do except lounge around watching crap films on telly and drinking wine of an evening. Sigh. Never mind, it's all worth it isn't it? Isn't it??!!!

Happy Friday, glad to be able to join you today, have a lovely weekend!! xx

Oi, Fiona, como vai? Adorei a imagem do pato, gosto demais de ver aves como essa...o que eu sei é que os mais bravos são os gansos, desses eu tenho medo, hahaha. Um abraço, ótimo final de semana!

Oh what a handsome fellow to run into on your walk about. Ducks and geese do not worry me. Swans do give me pause. They can have quite the ugly attitude. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Bonnie

Hello, Fiona! Lovely capture of the swan. He looks extra big being so close. They kind of scare me too, when they start with their squawking noises. I wish you a very happy weekend!

Hi Fiona! Oh, that is a lovely swan and I'm like you. They can nip and I don't need that! :)
Thanks for popping in to see me.

Hi Fiona,
I've borrowed my daughter's computer for a day or so to try and catch up on some of my bloggy friends. I'm afraid we are still investing in renovation material as opposed to electronics. Maybe Santa will shimmy down the chimney with a new laptop for me! Until then know I think of you often and look forward to being back as a regular visitor.
Hugs~

Good Afternoon Fiona, I hope the weekend is going to plan. The photo of the swan was gorgeous, but I have to agree with you, I don't like big birds. When I was a child I lived in Cyprus and to get to my house I had to pass a neighbour who kept turkeys, I used to creep by, but you could guarantee the turkeys heard me and would come running out of the garden, which made me start running, and in turn they would chase me down the road! They never caught me, but I always felt one day they might! I'm so glad we movede. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.....feet up with a glass of red. Best Wishes Daphne
