Prayer Shawl and smiling because...

that shawl / wrap thingy is finally finished!!!
"not before time" I hear you all shout!
Well it is now done and dusted
 and dare I say it
now that it's finished I'm not sure that I like it
I think it's because I was at it for so long
that I'm fed up looking at it
but anyway here it is ....

**T a   d a h**
Prayer Shawl
We had snow and icy roads on Tuesday morning
and while it looked lovely
thankfully it was all gone by lunchtime
- my kind of snowy weather!!!
The primulas are starting to flower in the garden and look so pretty...
Mr. Raindrops  is working away this week
and boy oh boy am I enjoying having the bed to myself
no snoring and snorking and I can toss and turn to my hearts content
so it's just teddy and me for the next few nights...
 and
he doesn't like the smell of hyacinths
finds the scent strong and overpowering
so guess what's in the hallway and smell heavenly...

The sun shone on Wednesday and while I was out in the garden this big man popped his nose
through the fence to say hello!
I'm still trying to catch up with you all this week
but am making progress slowly but surely
If I haven't popped in to say hello to you yet
I'm on the way!!

Today I'm linking up with Karen from My Little Home and Garden
who is doing a post full of sunshine and happiness.
Karen has a lovely blog, pop over and say hi!

Have a great weekend my friends full of smiles and joy.

Well it's Friday and so it's

Thank you to all who participate I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do

As fotos da neve são lindas também.

I love your colourful mosaic in a mixture of spring and winter atmospheres! That shawl looks so snug and warm and the colour of the brooch goes so well with the yellow in the yarn!
I can't believe you already have flowers in your garden!
I love the soft image of the yellow tulips and hyacinths!
I've just decorated my windows with pastel-coloured crocheted flowers - it looks quite a contrast to the falling snow outside!
Have a great weekend and I had to laugh at your pink cable-stitch teddy bear. He smiled back at me!

Hello Fiona, your shawl does look lovely and I like the broach too. I am a little envious over your primulas blooming. I am looking forward to seeing flowers and color around my yard. My hubby has been watching TV late, letting me fall asleep before he comes to bed and starts his snoring. Lovely pretty flower arrangement and your teddy. Have a happy weekend!

We're in the middle of a major snowstorm here in southern Ontario and I do mean major, so seeing your springy banner and thinking about hyacinths is just what I needed this morning!

And I love your shawl...it's gorgeous!

Good Afternoon Fiona, I love your new header....it reminds us of "things" to come....warmer days, flowers peeking their heads through the soil...I cannot wait.
Your shawl is really beautiful and the brooch is perfect. Put your shawl away for a week and forget about it, then re-find it, trust me you will fall in love with it all over again.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best Wishes

Hi Fiona. Gosh, so many comments and here I am, bringing up the rear! We have snow forecast for Monday :( Just as I was really trying hard to think about Spring. Your primulas are out quite early. They're very brave!! I loved the knitted scarf/shawl 'thing'!! It should certainly keep you nice and warm, and I like the muted colours. Take care and keep warm.
