Loving ♥

that today is  Saturday and after a busy busy week

life is now a little quieter...

my children are on their mid-term break 

from school / university,I have next week off work

YIPPEE...

and so will have plenty of time to do the things I enjoy doing, one of those things will be calling

 to the blogs of my lovely friends and so I am really looking forward to doing that as I have neglected you all this week!

Some things that I am enjoying this week are -

My hydrangea pot which is still blooming

The last of my lovely red begonias

My lovely hydrangeas which are starting 

to dry out nicely......

eating warm potato topped pies for dinner 

on cold evenings

my new doorstop......

also loving.....

A few hours home alone. 

A roaring fire on a cold night.

Sipping a glass of red wine.

Fresh sheets on my bed that smell of clean fresh air.

Listening to the rain beating against the window.

The laughter of children.

Candlelight.

Piano music playing softly in the background.

Memories.

A hot shower with LEMON scented gel.

Pretty Pinks

The last of my hydrangas 
 I will miss them over the next few months
but hopefully there will flower again next year

 and these lovlies have flowered  
for months and months and months 

I bought some new cookware as my old tins had  seen better days.

Aren't these lovely?  Let's hope they work!

Now to find some nice recipes!

Do you like pink and white marshmallows?

They are really yummy and are great

if you are trying to diet.

Don't do it for me though

as I would eat the whole packet while dipping them into hot chocolate

A pretty cyclamen , should be outside in a pot 
but I think it looks nice in the kitchen
no point having it cold and wet outdoors!

I bought this lovely ceramic jug in a local shop today reduced to €5!!

 ♥ Found these lovelies in the garden ♥

Popped them into the jug and

WOW!!!

If someone had bought me a bouquet of flowers I couldn't have been as happy as I was with this lovely little display.

Isn't it funny that the simple things in life are usually the best!

Another Pink Saturday.............

This morning I have had to bring the hounds Oscar and Charlie to the vet.

Oscar broke his leg badly at Christmas. 

He jumped a wall and fell on ice, has had surgery twice and has been back and forth to the vet since.

Today he was discharged which is great so no more vet bills! 

Charlie was neutered last week and so needed to go and have his stitches removed this morning. 

Honestly these two cost me more than the kids! 

Had a lovely walk with them just mooching around the countryside.


It is raining again but nice soft rain that makes the grass appear so green and the wonderful smells around are a treat to the nose!

~Walked around the garden and noticed that my poor roses are dampened down with raindrops

 

The hydrangea I planted into a pot last year has "one" flower - just one!!!

and my poor petunias look a little weather beaten.


Here's hoping the sun shines tomorrow.

I saw this lady last year and thought I had to have her.

She was pink, she was pretty (well prettyish) she would be practical and might even help me save those pennies for when I wanted to have a splurge in the shops.

I put her in my bedroom and she sits  everyday there looking at me with that silly look on her face.

She has never saved me any money and I never got on that shopping trip, but she is cute!
