that today is Saturday and after a busy busy week
life is now a little quieter...
my children are on their mid-term break
from school / university,I have next week off work
YIPPEE...
and so will have plenty of time to do the things I enjoy doing, one of those things will be calling
to the blogs of my lovely friends and so I am really looking forward to doing that as I have neglected you all this week!
Some things that I am enjoying this week are -
My hydrangea pot which is still blooming
The last of my lovely red begonias
My lovely hydrangeas which are starting
to dry out nicely......
eating warm potato topped pies for dinner
on cold evenings
A few hours home alone.
A roaring fire on a cold night.
Sipping a glass of red wine.
Fresh sheets on my bed that smell of clean fresh air.
Listening to the rain beating against the window.
The laughter of children.
Candlelight.
Piano music playing softly in the background.
Memories.
A hot shower with LEMON scented gel.

Thank you for giving me ideas for next years flowers. I used grow hydrangeas but haven't even tried in years. Yours are so lovely. I'm making a note in my journal to try them again next season.

Hello Fiona. Your flowers are so beautiful! Ours all died the last couple of nights with a heavy frost. It is now good weather for having a fire and it seems that just a week ago we were to warm. I love all the beautiful things of life that you are enjoying. I hope you have a wonderful time with your children.
I'll have me some lemon-scented gel, too! Love that! andrea@townandprairie

Fantastic post! The hydrangeas are gorgeous and I love your candlestick! Enjoy your week!
I do so enjoy listening in to my kids laughter and conversations when they come home! I know how beautiful to your ears it is and how it fills the heart! They come and they go and we look forward to the next joyous visit! I wish we still had lovely blooms to enjoy on our bushes but this summers heat seemed to have fried them.
Lovely of you to share...
Hugs~
