Fun, Flowers and a fizzy head ❤

{Monday}...

visited a lovely garden centre in the Irish midlands
bought a few bits and bobs
spotted this colourful fella
and thought he was perfect for "Green Day"

{Tuesday}...

 paid a visit to Avoca
one of my favourite places to browse around
but I had to hold on tightly to my wallet
as I was sorely tempted to buy absolutely everything!

Wonderful throws and shawls

China in all colours of the rainbow

Lovely mosaic delph and scented candles

Jams, chutneys and sauces - aaahh!

Yummy sweets and goodies

and after buying lots of lovely goodies to take home
I did order a healthy and delicious lunch!

{Wednesday}...

my one and only peony bud has flowered (eventually)!!
I hope that I don't have to wait another 7 years for a bloom!

I was so proud of it that I had to take two photos
and put them into a collage (what a show-off I am)!!

the alliums planted last year are looking gorgeous

{Thursday}

Oh dear dopey ditzy me
 was looking for hairspray
went into lovely daughter's room
flippity flippity flip
sprayed hair with false tan instead of hairspray
well the bottles do look the same (sort of) eeeek...

{Friday}
Happy Happy days
 school's out for Summer!!!

Wishing you all a healthy, happy week
full of
 sunshine, smiles and lovely things

What a delightful green creature. LOVE it. Your marketplace is lovely. I'd have to hold onto my wallet too. LOL The healthy meal looks delicious. Is that edamame, I see? OH NO! What a mistake. Hope the spray tan came out of your hair. take care. PS) A severe thunderstorm is predicted for late today. Maybe it'll help cool things off. Hope some sunshine and warmer temps heads your way.

Ein grünes Schaf, wie witzig ist das denn... Aber gut, so braucht man die Wolle später nicht mehr färben...:-)

Oh dear false tan eh! I can only imagine what colour your hair is now, lol. At least it should wash out ok.
Love your green sheep and your peony is gorgeous.
That looks like a wonderful place to shop - so many lovely things to look at.
You said in my post that you still felt as if you were 20 - well so do I. Isn't that strange when in fact I'm 30 (yeah 30) years older than that eeeeeek. Here's hoping we still feel 20 for another 30 or so years.
Have a great weekend. :))

Hi, Fiona,

I had a good chuckle at the green sheep.

I'm so glad to see your peony bloom, having heard about the long wait, the bud, and now the flower. It is a beauty!

Great photos Fiona. Looks like your having my kind of day. A day of shopping and eating out. My kids are out of school too and I'm absolutely enjoying it. I love the slower pace of summer. I loved your first photo of the green sheep. That was the perfect picture for your green day entry. I even participated this time around. Thanks for the invite!

What a lovely, happy post for us today!! Just what the Doctor ordered. Gosh, I love the look of that shop, Avoca. I would have a wonderful time browsing around there and, yes, that green sheep is so cute! Yay for your peonies - at last! They are such beautiful flowers and yours is my favourite colour. Really funny what you did with the false tan. I've done exactly the same thing myself, but I sprayed myself with hairspray instead of the fake tan! DOH!! It did make for quite a funny blog post though. Have a lovely weekend, and PLEASE let us get just a little sunshine!!

First off, I have to say that I wish I lived in Ireland!!!! Some of my ancestors are from Ireland and I've always wanted to visit. Not only that, but I've always wished I had an Irish accent. :p (But I'm stuck with Texan).

Avoca looks really nice. I can see why you wanted to buy everything.

Hi Fiona,
I came over to repy to you comment on my blog.
Thank you for your lovely comments - you are most kind :)))
We all came back from dinner and had a lovely glass of cava (apart from Karen who doesn't drink). The girls and Kevin had a rowdy game of monopoly. It is so fun to listen to them. It can get quite competitive. The lovely thing is they all get on so well together.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I know you cherish your peony! Especially because it's the one and only:) Had to laugh you sprayed fake tan on your hair! Our daughters have lots more make up gadgets than when we were their age, lol!

Hi Fiona... what a delightfully happy post! You found some fantastic shops - oh those beautiiful soft and warm looking throws - lovely!
Oh dear, what a mistake to make - so easy going by the look-alike cans. Sorry, but I did let out a chuckle.
Your Peony is gorgeous :D)

What lovely soft pink throws in your second photo... really snuggly looking! Your frilly-edged peonies are gorgeous and the allium flowers are such a great colour and shape. The funniest part of your posting is definitely spraying your hair with leg-tan!! Did you take a picture?! I bet your daughter had a giggle!

That sheep is Pop Art! Wonderful - like all the photos of your post! I hope I can find that store while I am in Ireland and thanks for warning us about the possible mix up of the hairspray and tan spray... Christa
