{Monday}...
bought a few bits and bobs
spotted this colourful fella
and thought he was perfect for "Green Day"
{Tuesday}...
one of my favourite places to browse around
but I had to hold on tightly to my wallet
as I was sorely tempted to buy absolutely everything!
Wonderful throws and shawls
China in all colours of the rainbow
Lovely mosaic delph and scented candles
Jams, chutneys and sauces - aaahh!
Yummy sweets and goodies
and after buying lots of lovely goodies to take home
I did order a healthy and delicious lunch!
{Wednesday}...
my one and only peony bud has flowered (eventually)!!
I hope that I don't have to wait another 7 years for a bloom!
I was so proud of it that I had to take two photos
and put them into a collage (what a show-off I am)!!
the alliums planted last year are looking gorgeous
{Thursday}
Oh dear dopey ditzy me

false tan! ha ha!!!
LOVE the GREEN sheep. :)
Loved the virtual shopping with you! Love the shawl! I think we've all sprayed something thinking it was something else!
Hope you have a great weekend,
Kathy
What a delightful green creature. LOVE it. Your marketplace is lovely. I'd have to hold onto my wallet too. LOL The healthy meal looks delicious. Is that edamame, I see? OH NO! What a mistake. Hope the spray tan came out of your hair. take care. PS) A severe thunderstorm is predicted for late today. Maybe it'll help cool things off. Hope some sunshine and warmer temps heads your way.
I love a trip to Avoca and the food is amazing! Hope you have a great weekend:)

Ein grünes Schaf, wie witzig ist das denn... Aber gut, so braucht man die Wolle später nicht mehr färben...:-)
Lieben Gruß

Oh dear false tan eh! I can only imagine what colour your hair is now, lol. At least it should wash out ok.
Love your green sheep and your peony is gorgeous.
That looks like a wonderful place to shop - so many lovely things to look at.
You said in my post that you still felt as if you were 20 - well so do I. Isn't that strange when in fact I'm 30 (yeah 30) years older than that eeeeeek. Here's hoping we still feel 20 for another 30 or so years.
Have a great weekend. :))
hmmm tanned hair...belt your scalp is looking fabulously bronzed!! I love Alliums, I really must start planting flowers next year, I always concentrate on veg but I need some more colour in the garden. Fab sheep! x
Hi, Fiona,
I had a good chuckle at the green sheep.
I'm so glad to see your peony bloom, having heard about the long wait, the bud, and now the flower. It is a beauty!
-Karen
Great photos Fiona. Looks like your having my kind of day. A day of shopping and eating out. My kids are out of school too and I'm absolutely enjoying it. I love the slower pace of summer. I loved your first photo of the green sheep. That was the perfect picture for your green day entry. I even participated this time around. Thanks for the invite!
I would also go mad in that shop Fiona, believe me!
Met my school friends in Avoca last week and did not hold onto to my purse unfortunately the sale was on and I treated myself to some items. Love this shop could easily get locked in. Have a Great weekend.
That sheep is definitely green!!
Great post as usual. Hope you have a lovely weekend, and many thanks for organising Green Day.
Looks great ;) happy weekend!
That is one great green guy!
Your flowers are all so pretty.
Hmmm...does your hair now sport a tan? I laugh with you...not at you...as I have done similar things myself!
Dearest Fiona,
I was born in the sheep year(*^_^*) Green one, haha.
What a lovely shopping place and your Gorgeous flowers♡♡♡
Oh, just a little smile with the "false tan"; sure look similar, don't they. I keep doing the same kind of things lately...(^^;)
Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
What a fabulous day you had! I love the green sheep. And the polka dot pottery!
Your peonies and alliums are as pretty as can be!
So how does your hair look? I love the green sheep. sandie
The green sheep is cute. I love your peony and alliums.
I think you may have invented a new way to color hair. :0)
Have a great weekend.
These shops are amazing.
I love Avoca, they have so many nice things there.
Love the green sheep :-)
Have a fantastic weekend!
Hugs,
Eva
What a lovely, happy post for us today!! Just what the Doctor ordered. Gosh, I love the look of that shop, Avoca. I would have a wonderful time browsing around there and, yes, that green sheep is so cute! Yay for your peonies - at last! They are such beautiful flowers and yours is my favourite colour. Really funny what you did with the false tan. I've done exactly the same thing myself, but I sprayed myself with hairspray instead of the fake tan! DOH!! It did make for quite a funny blog post though. Have a lovely weekend, and PLEASE let us get just a little sunshine!!
Your peony is gorgeous! And this shop... love it!
I would love to explore that store. Lots of lovely items to buy. The green sheep is cute and I love the beautiful flowers. The allium is gorgeous and I love the peonies. Lovely series of images, thanks for sharing and hosting. Have a lovely weekend!
Love the mosaic delph . . . the best, laughing at visualizing you spraying your hair with self tanner . . .

What a lovely blog you have, Fiona. Thanks for stopping by A Joyful Cottage, following and leaving such a nice comment. Good to meet you and look forward to visiting often. -- Nancy
First off, I have to say that I wish I lived in Ireland!!!! Some of my ancestors are from Ireland and I've always wanted to visit. Not only that, but I've always wished I had an Irish accent. :p (But I'm stuck with Texan).
Avoca looks really nice. I can see why you wanted to buy everything.
Kristin
Hi Fiona,
I came over to repy to you comment on my blog.
Thank you for your lovely comments - you are most kind :)))
We all came back from dinner and had a lovely glass of cava (apart from Karen who doesn't drink). The girls and Kevin had a rowdy game of monopoly. It is so fun to listen to them. It can get quite competitive. The lovely thing is they all get on so well together.
Thanks for visiting my blog! I know you cherish your peony! Especially because it's the one and only:) Had to laugh you sprayed fake tan on your hair! Our daughters have lots more make up gadgets than when we were their age, lol!
Oh, gosh, Fiona! Is your hair getting darker? ;D
The shop is great with those wonderful, colorful throws. Your
garden flowers are beautiful.
Hi Fiona... what a delightfully happy post! You found some fantastic shops - oh those beautiiful soft and warm looking throws - lovely!
Oh dear, what a mistake to make - so easy going by the look-alike cans. Sorry, but I did let out a chuckle.
Your Peony is gorgeous :D)
What lovely soft pink throws in your second photo... really snuggly looking! Your frilly-edged peonies are gorgeous and the allium flowers are such a great colour and shape. The funniest part of your posting is definitely spraying your hair with leg-tan!! Did you take a picture?! I bet your daughter had a giggle!
Hi Fiona (love that name). Thanks for your visit and nice comment. This was an enjoyable post, I could spend hours in a store like that. I will be back again. xo
Hi Fiona! I like those pink throws. They look so soft and cuddly. So glad that your Peonies bloomed and thank you for sharing and they are beautiful. Love your green sheep.
~Clara
I want the candy! ^_^ Thanks for the visit. Happy Sunday!
Opps I still don't know what I'm doing and accidentally removed my comment. I enjoyed looking at your wonderful photo's for your green day. I will be back to visit again soon.
Blessings, Sue
Oh, your lunch looks wonderful! I love your peony. It is my very favorite flower. To me it is as beautiful as a rose but without the thorns.
That sheep is Pop Art! Wonderful - like all the photos of your post! I hope I can find that store while I am in Ireland and thanks for warning us about the possible mix up of the hairspray and tan spray... Christa
